Our Story

Supporting Global Innovation in the AI World

A not-for-profit rapid innovation studio using AI to accelerate idea-to-execution for entrepreneurs and organizations building the future.

Our Mission

Championing Innovation at Every Level

Stephen Gilfus founded High Peak Studio to empower founders, builders, and visionaries. He brings together capital, mentorship, and cutting-edge AI to help entrepreneurs ship products in hours, not months — and scale them into category-defining companies.

A Note From the Founder

Why I Built High Peak Studio

To every entrepreneur and organization looking to innovate —

After spending three decades at the intersection of product invention, enterprise growth, and platform strategy, I saw a once-in-a-generation shift unfolding before us. The same type of technoloigcal forces that transformed online learning — advancement of the internet — are now reshaping how every company is built through - AI, automation, and orchestrated development . I created High Peak Studio to put that power directly into your hands.

As a co-founder of Blackboard, I helped architect one of education technology's most influential platforms, scaling it to more than $650 million in recurring revenue and approximately 150 million users across 17,000 institutions in 80 countries. That journey taught me that category-defining companies are not born from incremental improvement — they are architected by founders who can see around corners and ship faster than the market expects.

Today, I sit at the confluence of AI, cybersecurity, vibe coding, innovation, and online learning. I serve on the board of ISACA, as the Chair of the Innovation and Technology Committee, the world's largest professional association for cybersecurity and AI assurance, and have published over a dozen foundational whitepapers on platform architecture and enterprise strategy. High Peak Studio is the natural extension of that work: a not-for-profit education organization and a venture accelerator and incubator where AI agents, seasoned mentors, and ambitious founders like you collaborate to turn bold ideas into live products in days — not years.
